Also if any of the finalists want to collect their prints feel free to drop in to Team Digital and collect them. If you cant drop in then we can post the prints back to you , there will be a postage charge though.

Lastly our over all winner of 2012 Ben Clegg has spent his 2 weeks with our Phase One IQ180 kit. Here are some comments that Ben made about his experiences with the Phase One IQ180 kit.

“When it came to opening up the images in Capture One I was blown away by the definition in the images! I had never seen anything like it, is very hard to explain the quality as it is almost 3D, I think my wife said it the best “this camera see’s better than the human eye”.
I have now printed a few images on my Epson Pro 7900 and I have to say they are the best quality prints that I have done to date.”

The second Golden Shopping Trolley Awards were held at The Epson Print Gallery last night & it was a great evening of urban landscape images.

At this point we’d like to thank a few people. Firstly Christian Fletcher and  Tony Hewitt for all their enthusiasm for the Shopping Trolley concept and being great shopping trolley handlers (Judges). I know you’d all agree that we simply couldn’t have gotten 2 better judges for an Urban Landscape competition. Love your work, guys.

Thanks to Jo for doing all the running around for the catering, plus all those who helped keep everyone watered and feed during the course of the gala evening.

If you weren’t able to attend last night, don’t panic as the 30 finalists will be on display in The Epson Print Gallery until the 26th January at Team Digital. For those of you who did get along we hope you had a great night. Please let Ben know if you have any feedback regarding the competition.

Custom Photo Imaging in Rockingham are supplying  a 40 x 60″ stretched Canson HD canvas to the winner of the People’s Choice award. The only way to register your vote is at The Epson Print Gallery in person.

Don’t know what a urban landscape is? Here’s the competition definition:

Urban Landscape is something relating to or concerned with cities, city life or densely populated areas. Urban landscape photography is usually associated with imagery within contemporary mediums, cities, buildings, streets, subways and just about anywhere human life exists and lives. It represents and expresses experiences that exist among these areas and it can sometimes focus more on the patterns or processes of those areas rather than the people.

Here’s the full Terms and Conditions

This year we will also have the 30 finalists on display in The Epson Print Gallery, printed on Canson Platine Fine Art media.

A lot of people have been asking about the definition of a Urban Landscape, well here’s the definition we are using for the Golden Shopping Trolley awards

  • Urban Landscape is something relating to or concerning with cities, city life or densely populated areas. Urban landscape photography is usually associated with imagery within contemporary mediums, cities, buildings, streets, subways and just about anywhere human life exists and lives. Here’s some other conditions you need to consider when entering the Awards

  • Images entered must have been exposed by the entrant.
  • The image entered must be 100% photographic in origin.
  • All aspects of the image must have been produced by the entrant including all post production work. Entrants must be able to supply a copy of the proof used to create a final image if so requested by the judges.
  • No titles or marks which may identify the author are permitted on the image itself.
