The Eizo SX2462 Features

Wide Color Gamut

The monitor reproduces 98% of the Adobe RGB color space so it can display most colors in a digital photo taken in Adobe RGB mode.

Three Inputs Including DisplayPort

Connect with up to three PCs via the monitor’s dual DVI-I inputs which accept digital and analog signals, and the DisplayPort (digital) input terminals. DisplayPort is next-generation connectivity that transmits both video and audio signals.

Placement Flexibility

The FlexScan SX2462W comes with a “FlexStand” that offers tilt, swivel, 90° rotation for portrait mode viewing, and 174 mm of height adjustment. Its innovative, bearing-less design reduces mechanical wear and the amount of torque required to adjust height.

Brightness and Color Uniformity with DUE

Fluctuations in brightness and chroma on different parts of the screen are characteristic of LCD panels. Generally, the larger the screen, the more noticeable these uniformity errors become. EIZO’s Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) helps to compensate for these errors, resulting in a much more uniform image.

Simple Color Matching with EIZO EasyPIX

The EIZO EasyPIX color matching tool is ideal for digital SLR camera users looking to match colors between their monitors and photo prints. With the EasyPIX software you can match the monitor’s color and brightness with that of the photo paper and then create a monitor profile with the bundled EX1 color sensor. No expertise in color management is required and the profile can be shared with image retouching software to ensure accurate results when printing.

10:00 to 12:30pm True Colour 1 — Intro to Colour Management
This 2 ½ hour seminar introduces the concepts of Colour Management and covers everything you will need to know to get great images out of your Epson Photo series printer, first time, every time.

1:30 to 4:30pm True Colour 2 — Fine Art printing
This workshop deals with printing on various fine-art papers, canvas and other fine-art media; generating and using profiles to give you the best results; further develops the concepts of Colour Management introduced in True Colour 1 and specifically looks at printing Fine Art images for exhibition and competition.

We mentioned on the blog some time ago that we were getting a series of GrafiLite viewing systems in. The first shipment sold out within a few days, we’ve now had a new shipment arrive. There are two systems in the GrafiLite range, the GrafiLite and Mode. The GrafiLite is the smaller of the two, the Mode is a stylish lamp that would be suitable for a home or studio.

Why do you need a GrafiLite ?

Because artificial lighting can distort your colour perception, the best way to assess prints or proofs is in natural daylight — but of course, that isn’t available 24 hours a day. The GrafiLite range offers a choice of convenient ways to recreate these conditions whenever and wherever you need them.

Weve been testing both systems for a few weeks now and we have to say we are very happy with the results.

GrafiLite Mode is stylish lamp that would fit in to a studio environment. There is a little assembling to do when you first get the Mode. Then its a simply a matter of flicking the switch on the base of the stand and the bulb tube has an illumination life of up to 10,000 hours and an illumination brightness of 2000 Lux. And at $ 260.00 inc gst it is a very low cost print viewing system.

GrafiLite is very compact model, that has a coverage of just over A4. Perfect for a home user that want that little bit more control when it comes to print assessment. At $ 135.00 these are an economic solution .
