Meet the New Nikon DF isn’t it beaufitul.
Nikon have joined the retro camera world with the Nikon DF. Weve been following the development of this for some time and it is due to be announced within the next 24 hours. We believe the sensor will be the same one as the brilliant Nikon D4 sensor full frame 16.2mp, and it looks beautiful similar to the old FM series. For good or bad the aperture, shutter and ISO is all controlled by dials on the top of the cameras allowing for a small lcd screen on the top of the camera to give you the information you need.
From a practical point of view, it is said to weigh less than 800gsm which compared to the over 1300gsm of the D4 and the D800 at round the 1000gsm. Could be a great travel camera a great back up camera if you don’t want to lug around a D4 or D800. Its far better suited to wedding work due to it resolution rather than the D800 36mp. If it has the same sensor as the Confirm Spec D4 then we know it will have superb high ISO performance. Nikon could be on a real winner as soon as confirmed specs and pricing becomes available we will post them. Stay tuned !
