2019 West Australian Bird Photography Exhibition 

To celebrate 

BirdLife Photography Biennial Conference being held in Fremantle, Western Australia on 21-22 September 2019 we invite you to be part of 

2019 West Australian Bird Photography Exhibition 

To be part of this exciting project we ask you to submit.
A maximum of 2 entries per person  – 1 entry per section. 

The 2 sections are:

– any wild West Australian endemic bird *( List below )
– any other wild bird photographed in Western Australia within the last 5 years

Accepted entrants will need to provide high-resolution versions of their photo to Team Digital for printing. Team Digital and Canon will sponsor printing on Fine Art Ilford Media of the 30 best submissions that will then be displayed in the Bunker Gallery 5 Coolgardie Terrace Perth for the month prior to the conference. These unframed prints will then be given to each of the winning photographers present during the conference.

Images are to be submitted in JPEG file format. They should be 3200 pixels on the LONGEST side and use the Adobe RGB colour space.

Submissions are to be emailed to [EMAIL DELETED]  Along with your contact info plus details of the image 

Maximum file size for submitted entries is 2 MB

There is no cost to be involved as we have our great sponsors Team Digital, Canon Australia and Ilford Australia covering all the costs of this great project. 

The 3 judges will be Georgina Steytler, Keith Lightbody, and Ben Walton.

 

Important Dates 

Call for submissions 16th April 

Submissions close 31st May

You will be contacted by the 14th July if your submission has been accepted. 

Accepted submission will need to have their full Res files to Team Digital to no later than 22nd July for printing. 

Exhibition Opening 22nd August

The Exhibition will run from 23rd August to 20th September   

After the exhibition, you can then either collect your prints from Team Digital or at the Conference via Keith Lightbody.  

Copyright of all entries will remain with the photographer. Entries submitted may be used to promote the BirdLife Photography Biennial Conference being held in Fremantle, Western Australia on 21-22 September 2019.
