Team Digital Printer Profiles Service

As WA’s leading Colour Management specialists. We take Colour management very seriously and understand the importance of it. So we’ve created a printer profiling service that will take your printing to the next level. While canned profile can be good there are a lot that aren’t. So we recommend you use custom printer profiles.

You can do this one of two ways either get us to do some of the work or book time to do it yourself at our X-Rite profile centre. The procedure are almost same to a point.

Where do we start

1)Firstly we make sure the printer is running perfectly this can be confirmed by producing a nozzle check. (This is extremely important) In fact we really want to see that printed nozzle check before we do any profiling.

2)Make sure the correct black is selected for the type of media you are using. Ie Matt black or Photo black. We can give you guidance on that selection

3)Download the Team Digital Profile Targets folder which we send you a link to, which gives you access to the Adobe Color Printer Utility for Win/Mac. Plus the profile targets which you will need to print.

Once you have done all of the above we can get to printing our targets. To do this you simply open up the targets one at a time in the Adobe Color Printer Utility. The target comes in the form of 5 A4 sheets. Which is generally more than other profiler providers sample.

1)Open the Adobe Color Printer Utility and open the first target print. You must make sure that the target is not resized in anyway ( because it may not read if it is resized)

2)Select the correct media selection depending on the paper type the Epson Media type you want to use for your media in Epson Print Driver IE
Lustre, Semi-Gloss, Satin we recommend Epson Premium Lustre.
Fineart Matt media we recommend Epson Ultra Smooth Fine art or something similar. Set the print resolution to the printer highest ie 2880dpi.

3) Repeat the process using the exact same setting until you have the 5 different target sheets. The pages are clearly numbers.

4) Allow at least 24 hours for the prints to cure before you read them.

This where you have a choice to get Team Digital to do the work or you can. Team Digital can produce a single profile for you for $85 inc gst or you can hire the Xrite Profile Centre on a per hour basis at $100 per hour. In which you could perhaps read and produce up to 4 profiles. Which may be enough to profile your whole media selection. You will have trained Team Digital Staff to show you through the process if the want use the hire option.
